Introduction to Adult Facilitation is a flexible, online learning course designed to build capacity in the frameworks, tools, and mindsets required to lead effective and collaborative adult learning communities.

Through seven course modules, participants learn how to structure dialogue, guide inquiry, and create conditions for reflective practice and shared leadership. Each module offers practical strategies that can be applied immediately in professional learning settings to support instructional improvement and learner success.

The course design allows for individual flexibility combined with collaborative learning. Participants work at their own pace, on their own schedule, and a CLEE facilitator and other participants respond to participant work.

Dates: 8/6-9/3/25 – Cohort completes weekly modules

Cost: $175

Participants will:

  • Learn about designing and facilitating environments that build trust and productive dialogue
  • Explore a variety of protocols that support collaboration on multiple topics, including data, professional dilemmas, and shared learning
  • Gain an introduction to key tools to frame adult learning spaces like the Ladder of Inference, Zones of Learning, and work style frameworks
  • Understand how learning agreements promote safety, accountability, and shared responsibility
  • Examine the role of clarifying and probing questions in deepening thinking and advancing inquiry

Course Format

  • Includes readings, video content, protocols, and structured reflection
